It’s stone cold fact that a local race is the most important race. From World Cup pros to local heroes, Rogate Downhill was buzzing with energy for todays annual race. With dry, dusty conditions that showcased the supreme loam that the southern trails had to offer, the stage was set for those brave enough to test their metal against the worlds best.
The track was freshly built, a combination of renovated trails and familiar favourites. Local advantage was ever present, but with a few line choices to be made and a healthy dose of track erosion over the day, it was wide open for the win.
Spurring on the high spirits were the rippers from Exotic Pro Riders, the shredders from Out On Bikes and the trail builders from B1KE. The future of southern riding is in good hands, with young guns leading the way. Floating down the track they succeeded in piling the pressure onto the seniors and vets.
